Across the country tens of thousands people are again taking part in the day of action of the “yellow vests” and there are again violent clashes between demonstrators and police officers. The protests of the “yellow vests” in Paris have been going on for twelve weeks. They are directed against the rising cost of living and more generally against the policies of President Emmanuel Macron. According to government figures, an estimated 1,900 people have been injured in the protests so far, including around 100 seriously by police rubber bullets.
