Tunisian security forces are massing against tens of thousands of people who took to the streets to protest against their government. The protests were triggered by the murder of opposition politician Chokri Belaid. The demonstrators are calling his murder a political attack and hold the ruling party Ennahda responsible. Belaid had advocated for the separation of state and religion and criticized the Islamic ruling Ennahda party. Tunisian Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali wants to dissolve the government. However, his own Ennahda party rejects this.
