Monika Huber on the book “Archiv Einsdreissig”
For more than ten years, Monika Huber has been developing an image archive entitled “OneThirty”. The title refers to the average length of a single news item. Every day, Monika Huber photographs images from news reports that bear witness to protest, war, violence and their consequences and reworks them with the means of painting and drawing. Over the years, an archive has been created that reveals a “grammar” of news images and invites us to take a critical look at crisis reporting on television.
