Artist talk with Monika Huber
As part of the current special exhibition "BAUERN! Protest, Revolt, Justice", the MiK invites you to a discussion evening on Thursday, 17 July 2025, at 7 pm. Exhibition curator Henrike Holsing will be talking to artist Monika Huber about ‘Images of Resistance’ - her artistic exploration of protest movements and social upheaval.
People around the world are fighting for freedom and democracy - a theme that is constantly finding new forms of expression in contemporary art. Monika Huber has dedicated herself to this since 2011 in her ongoing project ‘Archiv Einsdreissig’, in which she artistically processes scenes of protest, violence and war photographed from news programmes. The title refers to the average length of a news report: one minute and thirty seconds.
