— Orte im Visier
(Places in sight)
September 13th – Ocotber 26th, 2024
On display are videos, drawings and watercolors from the past five years, including the video TARGETS, which was produced especially for the exhibition and is based on the tape recordings of a US Air Force pilot during the Vietnam War. Monika Huber's art deals with the media representation of reality in a multi-layered way, whereby her points of reference are current crises and wars as well as garden depictions from Roman antiquity (video PASSING THE GARDEN). Huber's intensive engagement with the world's trouble spots began in 2011 with the start of the Arab Spring. Since then, she has been documenting media events with photographs, videos, drawings and installations, working out which global changes are emerging and how they are shaping the Western media world.
